EPIC ADVENTURES, WHAT'S EPIC ABOUT IT?
Though-out each year FreeStyle Fitness BC plans epic adventure training camps and events in Canada and the United States filled with different levels of exercise to suit all levels of physical ability.
Over the years we've hosted these events, we never missed to ask our clients about their experience, and we keep improving based on their feedback. Thank you everyone who joined these events and keeping each other accountable throughout the process. We're grateful that our events has grown such a beautiful community with each members supporting one another.
Two more great reasons that FreeStyle Fitness Spring Training is the place to be this spring:
If staying at a bed and breakfast in beautiful Oliver, BC, having a chef prepare your meals, and burning over 1000 calories a day with hiking/running/golf/tennis and daily yoga aren't enough reasons for you to want to join us for our FF Spring Training this year, here are two more:
Okanagan Named Number One Wine Destination in World: Huffington Post
We’ve long been known for our wine and now the Okanagan has been named as a Top Wine Destination in the World.
The Huffington Post named the region as the number one place to enjoy wine, but really how could we not win with scenic vineyard views and exceptional wines.
This year we will again be cycling to vineyards in Oliver, BC, Wine Capital of Canada, enjoying beautiful views and tasting some of Canada's best wines.
The Kettle Valley Railway is one of the most remarkable sections of railway ever built in North America. It stretched from Mid-Way to Hope, Via Penticton. The route was carved out of the most rugged terrain. Although the trains have stopped running, you can still explore the old routes, and see the stunning views for yourself. The rails have now been lifted and turned into a linear park with flat trails suitable for hiking and biking.
This year we will be cycling along the world famous Kettle Valley Railway from Naramata to Chute Lake, experiencing tunnels, rock ovens and breath taking views of Okanagan Lake.
Treena has been training with us for 3 years, and supplements her sessions by skiing and cycling with her family as well as training at the local recreation facility. Treena has been making great strides in her strength training, improving in her body weight exercises such as push-ups and pull-ups.
Treena always shows up with a positive attitude and a smile on her face.
Treena also won the 2017 Weight Loss Challenge, proving that with persistence and consistency you will succeed.
Treena keeps her family active, with her husband being an avid cyclist and her two boys participating in many sports including the Polar Bear Swim.
Treena received a small gift for being our Athlete of the Month.
Keep up the good work!
Cari has been training with us for a few years, starting with our outside evening training and now finding consistency with her early-morning before-work sessions. Cari and her family are very athletic, her daughter playing field hockey and her husband playing soccer. Cari keeps active with hikes up Burnaby Mountain with her dog as well as playing on two field hockey teams. Her strength, cardio and agility has really improved which allows to her play hard and keep up the intensity even during the final minutes of the final game on the week-end. Cari scored two goals last week-end, the second being the winning goal! She scored it in dramatic fashion, sprinting in to tip in the shot.
Good work Cari!

Caroline has been training with FreeStyle through our Team Training at Nestor for the last few years. She consistently trains hard and is an inspiration to the others training with her as well as her children. Caroline has a unique training philosophy of working hard and complaining little - which makes her a pleasure to train.
Janice has been training with us, and leading our run groups since the very beginning. Janice is one of our No. 1 Supporters and has traveled with us to the Grand Canyon, Birch Bay, Big Sur and the West Coast Trail. She has also dragged me to many a marathon over the years, very reluctantly.
Janice is an accomplished runner and triathlete. Jim has coached Janice at her last Ironman in Colorado, helping to improve her overall time by more than 20min! She is very consistent and dedicated, proving this at her first 50 mile race in Whistler this year, where her splits for each 20km loop were within seconds of each other.
Janice also encourages her family to be active and healthy being a great role model for her daughters.
Janice will receive a small gift for being Athlete of the Month
Cody has been training with Nathan for the last couple of years and has noticed significant gains in the strength and size. Cody has a physically demanding job and is kept busy at home with a very active young daughter. Fitness runs in the family with a former Athlete of the Month Taryn for a girlfriend. Cody is also an active outdoors man and tries to eat clean and be a good role model for his family. Keep up the good work!
Georgina has been one of our most consistent, hard working, intense and honest athletes! Georgina keeps the trainers on their toes! She began her training in Small Groups and always provides interesting and colourful commentary to our work-outs. She is one of those people you have to tell other people about before they train together. It's no wonder she was lovingly nicknamed 'licorice'. This year she joined us to run the West Coast Trail, from Nitinat Narrows to Bamfield, BC. 33km of running, hiking, cable cars, and ladders. It was so impressive to see her commit to the training and easily achieve this goal, even though at the very end she was very adamant that 'I'm never doing this again. This is not what I do!'
Georgina got married this summer and as you can see was absolutely stunning at her stag and on her wedding day. (I was limited in the appropriate stag photos) Congratulations Georgina. You are an inspiration to everyone that trains with you and a great role model for your beautiful daughter.
