After an SI injury sidelined me for 12 weeks in 2012 I worked with Chris to rehabilitate my back. Chris provided exercises to strengthen my core, stabilize my back and enured I was using proper technique when stretching and rolling. Working with Chris, my chiropractor, and massage therapist I was able to rehabilitate my back and even went on to complete an Ironman a few months later. I put in a lot of miles training for triathlons and marathons but haven't had any reoccuring issues with my back. By continuing to do the exercises and stretching that Chris recommended I have stayed healthy and injury-free!!

"Coach Jim Winter helped me thoroughly prepare for my 3rd Ironman Canada (2nd at Whistler). I have read lots of triathlon training books, blogs and magazines but having a coach offers much more. It is the minute details that Jim and I would talk about during our training rides and runs. Things like how to be more areo while descending from the Callaghan Valley and into Pemberton, how to try to avoid running a longer marathon by running the tangents of the course, and how to mentally prepare for the always taxing swim start. I dropped 3 minutes of my previous swim time with only one individual coaches pool session (imagine what I could have done with more!!). I had the best bike portion after taking into account the missing km's from the previous year's race and the extra 8+ degrees of heat. I enjoyed our training sessions together and always fed off the incredible energy that he brings. Jim even surprised me on race day by showing up to cheer me on - that was incredible! Coach Winter is a superb coach has an incredible amount to offer any tri-athlete!"

I have been training with Chris for about 2 years and have loved every minute of it...even when I hated it ;-) Her approach combines the perfect amount of endurance, weight and balance training and her motivational coaching makes me laugh and want to keep working hard! I enjoy training alone or in groups for that extra challenge, and find that Chris always makes the classes beneficial for all levels!
